School Nutrition Association (SNA) staff members are participating in the Change Our World Fight Against Global Hunger fundraising campaign and they are excited to announce that they have surpassed their fundraising goal. With one month still to go before the culmination of the campaign, the SNA staff has collected over $1,010 and they are not finished yet. They will continue their fundraising efforts for the entire month of April which has been designated Global Child Nutrition Month.
The Change Our World campaign is a partnership between Schwan's Food Service, Inc. and SNA's Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF). The campaign's mission is to educate and to raise awareness about global hunger. Everyday there are 300 million hungry children in developing nations around the globe. With the Change Our World campaign, Schwan's and the GCNF are working to eliminate childhood hunger across the globe through the creation of self-sustaining school feeding programs.
SNA staff members have found a number of ways to collect money for the Change Our World campaign. Each day, staff and visitors to SNA drop their extra change (and dollar bills!) into a money jar kept in the headquarters lobby. Staff members have been conducting bake sales in the SNA staff lunch room and others have taken their Change Our World fundraising efforts home to their families and to their churches. Since the Change Our World fundraising campaign kicked off in January, a number of generous companies and schools have participated in fundraising events for the campaign.
